Dr. Timothy S. Doupnik has been a Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Accounting at the University of South Carolina since 1982. From 2003 to 2010, he was the director of the School of Accounting, and from 2010 to 2013, he was the Vice Provost for International Affairs. He obtained his bachelor’s degree from California State University–Fullerton and his master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Illinois.

Professor Doupnik has published exclusively in academic journals dedicated to international accounting, such as The Accounting Review, Accounting, Organizations, and Society, Abacus, Journal of International Accounting Research, Journal of Accounting Literature, International Journal of Accounting, and Journal of International Business Studies.

Dr. Doupnik has taught or conducted research in international accounting at universities in a number of countries around the world, including China, Austria, Brazil, Dominican Republic, Germany, Finland, and Mexico.
